Granite and Quartzite countertops are made with natural stone. These stones are very hard, resistant, and recommended for any space - kitchen, bathrooms, fireplaces and outdoor kitchen. The natural variation is what makes it so special; each lot comes with a different and unique design created by nature. It is available in many colors, from brown tones to blue, gray, green and others. If you enjoy having natural materials in your home and are looking for a beautiful and unique look, then granite and quartzite stones are perfect for your project. When properly installed using the best materials, these countertops last for many years.

Even though they have great durability, they are porous materials and need to be sealed at installation and resealed once in a while. This process is easy and can be done by a professional or by yourself. Properly sealing a granite and quartzite countertop makes cleanup easier using only soap and water, and prevents damaging your natural counter.

* Other types of Natural Stones include Marble and Dolomite, but these are very soft and low resistant, requiring frequent maintenance.

Quartz countertops are a type of engineered stone, made using crushed quartz particles mixed with pigments and resin. Quartz is recommended for kitchen and bathrooms, but not for outdoor spaces. The engineered surface doesn't require resealing, and although it is more resistant to scratches, cracks and chips, placing hot objects such as a pan directly out of the oven will cause permanent damage. Since it is a non-porous material, it is resistant to staining, and it is easier to maintain and keep it clean and germ-free.

Quartz offers consistent coloration, and it is available in a wide variety of colors, from white to black, including vibrant colors like red. Quartz suppliers can produce slabs in nearly any color you can imagine, but still providing the look and texture of a natural stone.
Some colors have small particles of glass or reflective materials that add a unique look to the countertop. They are available in matte, textured or polished finishes, perfect for infinite applications.

If you are looking for a more modern and clean look, quartz is recommended.
